Weve all heard about the threat of H1N1 or swine flu. How its spreading across the globe. How its expected to hit hard this fall and winter as the flu season develops. How a large percentage of your service center staff could eventually catch it.
But theres good news. You can reduce infection rates in your service center by training employees to follow a few simple habits that stop them from spreading sickness to their coworkers — and help them avoid getting sick in the first place.
|
Some of these habits are just common sense: wash your hands, dont use your coworkers telephone or computer keyboard, cover your coughs and sneezes. But how do you get people to remember and actually do these things, day after day? Video training is an effective way to get through to employees and change their behavior. And this new release from the Stanford University School of Medicine is designed to do just that. Your staff will respond to this documentary-style short film with its straight talk from Dr. Eric A. Weiss, Medical Director of Disaster Planning. In plain terms, Dr. Weiss lays out a blueprint for keeping employees healthy and for resisting infection by the H1N1 virus. His practical advice extends to taking care of sick family members in ways that protect the caregiver and stop the spread within employees household. And if things take a turn for the worse, Dr. Weiss also describes clear danger signs that help viewers know the difference between symptoms that are typical — and those that require immediate medical attention. As a service provider, you cant afford to be short handed due to the flu. Now you can do something to protect your staff, your business and your customers. Your Guarantee of SatisfactionResisting the Flu is guaranteed. We want you and your reps to put this valuable resource to work in your department. Then, if you are not 100% satisfied, you may return your video within 30 days for a full refund. |

Fast Facts About the H1N1 Flu
Flu refers to illness caused by influenza virus. Individuals with the flu can experience a variety of symptoms and effects, from mild to lethal.
Two strains of flu, seasonal flu and the H1N1 (Swine) flu, are currently circulating in the United States. The majority of cases currently reported in the US are of the H1N1 strain. A third flu strain, the H5N1 (Bird) flu is being closely tracked overseas.
This year, the H1N1 influenza virus may trigger a more severe flu season with many more people getting sick and being hospitalized than during a regular flu season.
